For the searchers...

If you're curious about the evidence for ultimate realities, check out this excellent Joe Rogan episode, also embedded at the bottom of this page.

If you'd like to hear my straight and quick take on things, read on.

How goes the hunt? Have you found the meaning you're looking for yet? Or is every day a cavalcade of hype and hollow promises? If you're reading this, I'll assume you're curious, or desperate, or both. And that's a good thing.

A lot of the time on the show, I keep things poetic. I make oblique references to truth. I broaden it out so that all can take inspiration, because I want to pull in as many people as I can. I talk a lot about how broken this world is, how flawed humanity is, how much evil crashes against the shores of the good. It's an obvious reality to anyone looking at this planet with clear eyes. What's not so obvious is the why and the solution. The way and the truth. How do we get out of this? In a surprise twist, the answer, I think, isn't a path, but a person.

The divine agent. The first cause. The deity too good to be true. A perfect being whose core is love, who has promised to bring about true justice in the fullness of time, but who satisfied that justice by his death on a Roman cross so that we could be forgiven and return to our creator. And he didn't just die, he came back to life, so that death, evil, and the darkness inside each person has lost its power over those who believe.

Yeshua from Galilee.

Jesus of Nazareth.

The only historic religious leader who openly claimed to be God himself, and gave evidence to back it up. He inarguably changed history, and he can change you, too.

It's not always easy to believe, but trust me when I say that for the honest searcher, the evidence is abundant.

So what does this mean for you? It means that the meaning you're looking for is available to you right this second. If you're ready to bend a knee and embrace Jesus as the way, truth, life, as your king, your God, your brother, and your friend, then all you need to do is tell him. If you need some guidance on how to verbalize, the below words may help:

Jesus, I admit that I'm lost. A sinner and a rebel. I'm done with that life. I ask your forgiveness and I receive it as you've promised. I accept in faith that you died and came back to life in real space-time, and I give you my complete self, everything  that I am, now and forever. You are my lord and savior.  Help me follow you in full view of the world around me. In your name, so be it.

If you prayed those words and meant them, welcome to the family! You just kicked off a new life as a follower of Jesus! A journey you were created to take. I'm praying for you, and I'm here to help. Please do write and let me know about your decision so I can send my congrats and assist how I can. And go get yourself a Bible or a Bible app, and start reading in the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). For added context, check out The Bible Project. Find a church near you and start going. You weren't mean to do this alone.

There's nothing stopping you now, friend. Jesus is with you, surrounding you, and out ahead of you. His Spirit is inside you. All you need to do is follow the Light.
